WR Legal is expanding its commercial law practice and has strengthened the team with the appointment of Dr. Johannes Klahre as an Associate, effective August 1, 2025. Dr. Klahre is already familiar with the firm, having completed his legal clerkship here.

He completed his legal studies with a focus on commercial criminal law and earned his doctorate in 2023 from the University of Bayreuth, focusing on the criminal law implications of psychological violence. During his doctoral studies, he gained valuable practical experience with Hogan Lovells in the M&A team and with McDermott Will & Emery in the Banking and Finance practice group.

With Dr. Klahre’s arrival, WR Legal’s commercial law team now comprises three partners and two associates.
